750grams(1.50 pounds) boneless skinless chicken breast or boneless skinless chicken thigh fillets, cut into bite sized pieces
Salt and pepper to season chicken
60grams(2.12 ounces) plain flour (all purpose flour) or as needed
3tablespoons(45 grams, 1.58 ounces) butter
1teaspoon(1-2 cloves) minced garlic
1 ½tablespoonwhite vinegaror apple cider vinegar
1tablespoonlight soy sauce
⅓cup(90 grams, 3.17 ounces) honey
Instructions
Season chicken pieces with salt and pepper.
In a shallow dish, place the flour. Then, coat the chicken in flour, shaking off any excess.
Heat butter in a large frying pan over high heat. Once hot, add the chicken and cook until the chicken is golden and cooked through.
Reduce heat to medium and add the garlic. Saute for about 1 minute. Be careful not to burn your garlic.
Add the vinegar, soy sauce, and honey. Stir to combine.
Bring the sauce to a simmer and simmer for about 1 minute, or until the sauce slightly thickens. (see note 1). Taste for seasoning and adjust as desired.
Turn off heat and remove pan from heat. Serve.
Notes
If you find the sauce is too thick, add a bit of water and stir through.
