Ingredients

  • ½ cup (40 grams, 1.41 ounces) Oats quick cooking or rolled oats (old fashioned oats)
  • 1 ½ cups Milk of choice
  • 1 ½ tablespoons Nutella or to taste

Instructions

  • Place the oats and milk in a medium sized saucepan over medium heat. Bring to a boil and stir occasionally. Once boiling, reduce the heat and cook on low for 2 to 3 minutes. (see note 1).
  • When the oats are soft, turn off the heat. Stir through the Nutella until it is melted through. Allow to cool slightly and then serve (see note 2).

Notes

1. If you find your porridge is rising when cooking, carefully stir it and reduce the heat slightly.
2. The Nutella porridge will thicken as it cools. If you want your porridge to be thinner, mix through some milk.
Topping ideas:
  • Fresh fruit and berries such as blueberries, strawberries, or banana,
  • Crushed biscoff biscuits,
  • Chopped nuts such as pistachios or almonds,
  • Extra Nutella spread, chocolate sauce, or caramel sauce,
  • Fruit compote.
