Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups (40 grams, 1.41 ounces) Thai basil leaves
  • ½ teaspoon minced garlic
  • 2 tablespoons (30 grams, 1.06 ounces) peanuts
  • 1 ½ teaspoons sesame oil
  • 1 teaspoons fish sauce or soy sauce, or to taste
  • ¼ teaspoon red pepper flakes or 1 hot pepper chili, add more if you want a spicier pesto
  • 2 tablespoons light flavored oil e.g. vegetable oil or extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon dark brown sugar or to taste
  • 1 ½ teaspoon Lime juice or to taste
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions
 

  • In a food processor, place all ingredients. Pulse until the mixture is smooth and like a pesto consistency.
    If you find your pesto rising up the sides of your food processor, scrape down the sides with a spatula (when the machine is not on). Serve.

Notes

Store in a air tight container or glass jar in the fridge for 2 to 3 days.
