Ingredients

  • 2 teabags of Earl grey tea or loose leaf earl grey
  • 400 ml hot water to brew your tea
  • 2 teaspoons of sweetener of choice e.g. brown sugar syrup, monkfruit, maple syrup, or to taste
  • ¼ cup milk of choice

Instructions

  • Use the 400 ml of hot water to brew your tea. Follow the instructions on your tea packet or alternatively, allow the tea to brew for 3 to 5 minutes. (see note 1).
Once the tea is brewed to your liking stir through your sweetener of choice. Taste for sweetness. Add more sweetener if desired.
  • If you want to have your Earl grey tea with milk cold, set aside your tea and allow to cool. Otherwise, you can skip this step.
  • Pour half the tea into a mug or serving glass and add half the milk. Stir.
  • Repeat step 3 for remaining ingredients. Serve.

Notes

Note 1: The longer you brew your tea, the stronger the tea flavor you will have. But, if you brew your tea for too long, it can become bitter. I recommend brewing your tea between 3 to 5 minutes.
