Ingredients

  • 1 ½ cup (250 grams, 8.82 ounces) mangoes chopped (fresh or frozen)
  • 1 cup milk of choice
  • 1 ½ teaspoons sugar or maple syrup optional
  • Handful of ice cubes optional

Instructions

  • If using fresh mangoes, peel and chop the mango into chunks. If you are using frozen mango that is already cut up, you can skip this step.
  • Place all ingredients in a food processor or blender and blend together until the liquid is thick and smooth.
If you are using frozen mangoes, pulse the mixture first to break down the mango pieces. Then blend until smooth.
Pour into drinking glasses and then serve.

Notes

  • The sweetness of your milkshake will depend on the ripeness of your mangoes. If you use sweeter mangoes, you may not need to add any sweetener to your milkshake. Taste your milkshake before adding any sweetener and add only if necessary.
  • If you are using frozen mango, you do not need to use the ice cubes as the frozen mango will provide a coolness to the milkshake.
  • To make a thicker shake, you could add vanilla ice cream or a small banana.
